Steve is the drum director of the NorthWest Junior Pipe Band.
Over 40 pipers and drummers contribute to a Grade V band and a Grade IV band. Its teaching program for snare drummers, taught by Steve, takes beginners and turns them into accomplished competetive musicians.
The band will be competing in the Novice Juvenile Division of the World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow, Scotland in August 2008.
Their busy schedule of appearances have included Gung Haggis Fat Choy, Folklife Festival, and coming up in July, the Bellevue Strawberry Festivel.
Their ompetition season opens at Bellingham on June 7, and the BC High;land Games in Vancouver on June 28.
